Preface

In this first chapter, you'll discover how the course is structured, where to find which features, and how to get the most out of the short videos (usually 3–5 minutes). After this introduction, you'll know exactly where to start and how to progress more quickly.

What you will do

  • Explore the media player and playlists.
  • Search and jump to the relevant part faster.
  • Creating your own “learning path” (sequence & notes).

Steps in brief

Step 1 — Discover the course structure

The tutorials are grouped into 20 chapters, from installation to backupOn the right side of the player, you'll see short videos for each chapter. Tip: Open a chapter blog in a new tab; it contains summaries, screenshots, and answers to frequently asked questions.

Step 2 — Navigate smartly in the player

Use the search bar in the player to search for terms (e.g. “tabs”, “status bar”). With the arrows jump to the next/previous item. Handy: the playback speed (0,75–1,5×) and subtitles (NL/FR) can be found via the gear icon.

Step 3 — Working with your own learning path

Note which chapters are most important to you (for example, 02 Installation, 06 Tabs, 18 Extensions) and review those first. Bookmark the corresponding blog pages; there you'll find quick steps and fixes that we keep up to date.

Step 4 — Practice with a mini-workflow

Choose a demo ticker, open a chart and test one tip from each of three chapters:

  • (1) Interface → change theme/layout
  • (2) Tabs → create a second tab with a list
  • (3) Toolbar → add one shortcut button

This means you will see tangible time savings in just 10 minutes.

Common mistakes & quick fixes

  • View everything at once → rather choose 3 priorities and complete them.
  • Watch without subtitles → put NL/FR on; you pick up details faster.
  • No notes → make 3 bullets per chapter: What did I set? Why?
  • Slow search → use the search bar in the player and the grid of cards on this page.

Pro tips / work faster

  • Learn shortcuts: you quickly save minutes per session.
  • Start with a template: create a basic layout and reuse it.
  • Plan updates with TransScheduler (see Ch10): you always start with fresh data.
  • Trouble shooting? Look at the mini FAQ under each chapter for the most common issues.

Examples / When to use?

  • New user: complete order 02 → 03 → 06 → 07.
  • Advanced: Jump to 14–17 for additional windows, specials, and popular tabs.
  • Concierge: check out 18 (add-ons) and 20 (backup) first.
