Workspace & Tabs: The Basics

The workspace contains your tabs—this is where you analyze your companies. Tabs provide structure: one tab within a single window, multiple windows within a single tab, or a multi-chart overview.

Create groups (vertical/horizontal)

You can arrange your screen in vertical of horizontal groups and distribute tabs between them. Useful for larger projects or when working with multiple windows. Tabs can be moved to the next group.

Arranging interior windows

  • Car height: automatically arrange the windows in a balanced manner (e.g. 5 windows nicely distributed).
  • Pin top window: Click the vertical scroll bar; the top window will remain fixed while you scroll through the rest.

Multi-chart tab (rows × columns)

Create a new tab and choose the number October en columns (e.g. 3 rows × 5 columns = 15 graphs). With Set up Adjust the grid (e.g., 2 rows) and use the scroll bar to browse through the set. Rename the tab by right-clicking Rename.

Save, rename & copy

  • Save (right click → Save): changes a red tab (changed) back to black (saved).
  • Save as: save the same layout under a different name (e.g. “2 years”).
  • Don't save everything: Keep only what you want to be permanent; otherwise, the tab will restart in its previous state (e.g., 1-year).

Tab layout

Via right click Formatting (or via menu Trend → Parameters → Format) you can adjust, among other things:

  • Title en background from the tab.
  • Assen: vertical axes bring together (preferred), so you don't have to tune separate left/right axles. You can also use an axle invisible
  • Horizontal axis: usually only active at the bottom.
  • Bowl: Adjust scale settings per window.

Parameters & profiles

Under Parameters manage the settings. With Available profiles you can parameter sets storing en to open (e.g., quickly switch between two options; one profile shows a subtitle, the other doesn't). This way, you can access familiar settings with a single click.

Fast workflows

  1. Overview + details: Create two vertical groups; on the left, a multi-chart (3×5), and on the right, a single large window. Move the active tab to the other group if necessary.
  2. Fixed top window: Freeze the top window and scroll through the other windows to make comparisons.
  3. Profile change: experiment with a parameter, Save as New profile; switch between profiles live to compare the effect.

Tips from the video

  • Car height quickly provides a neat distribution of multiple windows.
  • Fixed top window is ideal for keeping one reference graph constantly in view.
  • Save sparingly: Keep only what's permanent; otherwise, the tab will restart as before.
  • Bringing axes together prevents duplication of work on left/right axis and keeps the image consistent.
  • Profiles use to make parameters repeatable and quickly compare.
